Requirements - Distilled water, starch, beaker, burner, stand, glass rod, pestle, sieve and tripart etc.
Principle: Starch is a lyophilic sol, for which water is used as the dispersion medium. Sol is mainly prepared by mass condensation method and dispersion method.
Process- Boil 100 ml of distilled water on a burner, after grinding 1 gram of starch powder in it with a fine pestle, put it in it and boil it for 3 minutes. After this, cover it and filter it with a sieve. In this way the starch sol is formed.
Precautions -(i) The beakers and other utensils used should be clean.
(ii) Starch should be finely and finely ground.
(iii) Distilled water should be used according to the quantity of preparation.
